Solana Resident Celebrates 102nd Birthday!

Claire Scott, a resident of The Solana Doylestown, celebrated her 102nd birthday on March 6th! 

Claire Burkhardt was born March 6th, 1920 and raised in Bethlehem. She married Thomas Joseph Scott in 1946. They were residents of Doylestown for about 60 years. Thomas passed away in 2000 leaving the legacy of their two sons, Tom and David. Claire is blessed with two grandsons, Graham and Tobin Scott. 

 

She worked most of her life in fashion, including working for Musselman's of Doylestown and Christy Allen of Lahaska. Claire rounded out her career at the Paper Unicorn in Doylestown. 

Claire was a Gray Lady for Doylestown Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Doylestown Country Club, The Five Stars card club, volunteered for VIA Designer House and member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury. 

She played doubles tennis into her 80s and loves casino trips. An avid traveler, her favorite places to visit are Naples, FL., the Jersey shore, Connecticut, Las Vegas, and British Virgin Islands. 

Claire's favorite pastimes are people watching and sunbathing, which she continues with her friends at her home at The Solana Doylestown.
